Here is exactly what a check does, so you can judge the evidence yourself.
What we ask
- Full Report: 24 unbranded buyer prompts, each run 3 times on every enabled engine.
- Snapshot: 5 prompts, each run 2 times per engine.
- 2 branded control prompts per report check what AI knows about you by name. They are excluded from the Named Rate.
What counts
- Only successfully completed answers count. Failed or empty runs are left out.
- An answer counts as named when it recommends your business, not when it merely mentions it.
- A Full Report needs at least 40 completed answers. Below that, the report is labeled Reduced sample and states the reason.
- If a spending cap is reached, the actual sample shrinks and the report shows the real number.
Where answers come from
Official APIs only: OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. A report lists the engines that were enabled and actually sampled. We do not scrape consumer chat sites, and Google AI Overviews are not sampled.
What each report records
- The report dates, and the engine and model behind every answer.
- Public readiness facts we observed on your site and listings.
- Wrong facts, always as AI said X; you told us Y, against an owner-confirmed source.
Small moves between two checks can be noise. Look for patterns that hold across several checks.

What is an AI visibility check?
NeedleFoundAI asks buyer-style questions about your category, town and services, then records which businesses AI assistants recommend. Your report shows the pattern, competitors named instead, dated evidence and a plain-English fix list.
What does Named Rate (sampled) mean?
It is the percentage of completed, sampled answers that recommend your business. The report includes the number of answers, sampling dates and systems actually checked. A passing mention does not count as a recommendation.
Is the Full Report a subscription?
No. The Snapshot is free and the Full Report is a one-time purchase for each fresh check. You can re-check when you want another dated sample to compare.
Do you need my website or Google passwords?
No. Readiness checks use public information and facts you confirm. NeedleFoundAI does not ask for third-party passwords. Your customer reports stay private to you.
Which AI systems do you check?
NeedleFoundAI supports official APIs for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Every result identifies the systems actually sampled. Gemini API answers are not Google AI Overview results.
